Described by Boris Johnson as the “Economic Powerhouse of South London”, Croydon is one of London's major office headquarter centres and London’s fastest growing tech hub. Just this week Mayor Sadiq Khan announced that Croydon will be London Borough of Culture 2023. 

Chief Executive Jo Negrini will introduce our guides for this Sir Peter Hendy Routemaster Tour of Croydon. Supported by Cllr Paul Scott; Director of Planning, Heather Cheesbrough; James Cook, Planning Director, R&F Properties UK Ltd; Alex Hall, Senior Development Manager, Square Stone Hub; Christy Hayes, Chief Executive, Tide Construction; Claire McAnallen, Business Development Manager, Tide Construction; Craig Marks, Chief Exectutive, Menta; Daren Nathan, Partnership Director, London Square; and Chloë Phelps, Head of Design and Commercial and Deputy CEO, Brick by Brick, Judith Saloman, Strategic Planning and Communications Director, Pocket Living as we navigate our way through key Croydon developments including:

  • The world’s tallest modular tower at 101 George Street designed by HTA for Greystar,
  • The Morello Tower, designed by Make Architects and developed by Menta,
  • Pocket Living’s Addiscombe Grove tower designed by Metropolitan Workshop,
  • The Brighton Mainline Upgrade at East Croydon Station, 
  • Ruskin Square - including public space and Boxpark, 
  • Westfield  and the Whitgift Centre with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and Hammerson,
  • As well as the Purley Way Masterplan, Wandle Park redesign, Fairfield Halls and Brick by Brick.
  • The evening will end with a networking reception at Fairfield Halls.

The tour will be raising money for greater diversity in the built environment professions.
