Event description

Description

Sir Roger Scruton is a philosopher, public commentator and author of over forty books. He has specialised in aesthetics with particular attention to music and architecture. He engages in contemporary political and cultural debates from the standpoint of a conservative thinker and is well known as a powerful polemicist. He is visiting the Philosophy Café at Headington to explain why he believes that socialism is not as attractive as it might actually seem to many young people today. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.
