ABOUT THE PROJECT
Sisters Talk are black women's sessions that started in 2018 in Derby. Here we explore issues around mental health, physical health, lifestyle, and our community. In 2020 we also included discussions about COVID 19 effects on the community. It is a safe space to speak out, discuss and share experiences and combat isolation and offer peer support.
Participating
The project is created for black women. We are creating a safe space for women of African and Caribbean heritage to discuss these topics. It is mandatory to have your camera on during the session. Spaces are limited.
We are currently fundraising to invite speakers to our sessions and include a variety of activities. We are keeping the space open once a month. Donations are welcome.
