Tours begin outside the museum and take visitors onto the remains of the inclined plane boat lift. The ground is uneven, so appropriate footwear is recommended.

Are there toilets on site?

Toilets are located near both the long and short-stay car parks at the bottom of the site with disabled access/facilities.

Is the tour accessible for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility?

The tour includes uneven grassy areas, which may be difficult to navigate in a wheelchair. However, there is an accessible viewing platform overlooking the remains. Please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility needs, and we will do our best to accommodate.
