About Chris

Chris took up woodturning after losing his sight in 2008. He is now the first registered blind person on the Register for Professional Woodturners.

Part of Chris’ mission is to exceed the expectations of what others perceive disabled people are able to accomplish, and to prove to himself, and the world, that having a disability isn’t the end, it’s just a new beginning.

Chris now shares this passion for woodturning with others, offering demonstrations and tuition. He specialises in turning textured pieces and his widely acclaimed artistic work is highly sought after.
