About the film 'Six inches of soil':
Six Inches of Soil follows three young British farmers on their first year of regenerative farming as they work to heal the soil, build fairer food systems, and reconnect communities with the land. Guided by mentors and experts, they challenge the industrial model that dominates UK agriculture—one that drives soil loss, biodiversity decline and climate change.
Agroecology, at the heart of their journey, offers an alternative: farming in harmony with nature, strengthening local food systems, paying farmers fairly, and creating resilience in the face of climate uncertainty.
Through personal stories, hard-hitting facts, and a look at Britain’s farming history, the film shows that regenerative farming is more than a job—it’s a way of life that nourishes both people and planet.
