The construction of Sizewell C nuclear power station is a nationally significant infrastructure project with an estimated £20 billion investment. It will be the largest construction project in the East of England since Sizewell B was completed almost 40 years ago. It represents significant supply chain opportunities to businesses in the East of England including Harlow.

There are significant opportunities for small-to-medium suppliers across a range of different industries – such as construction, catering, logistics, legal, manufacturing and many more.

At this event, hear from the developer Sizewell C (SZC) and understand how you can be involved in the supply chain. Head of Sizewell C Supply Chain Engagement to Harlow, Ashley Shorey Mills, will share plans and what the opportunities are for businesses in the Harlow area.

About the speaker

Ashley has spent the past 13 months working on the Sizewell C project, leading a team of 7 who are all dedicated to ensuring that local businesses get the best opportunity possible from the building of this New Nuclear Power Plant. His key motivation is to grow a supply chain that is not only fit and ready for Sizewell C, but the wider potential and huge variety of large scale projects that are coming to East Anglia over the next decade or so. Prior to working for the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, Ashley had a brief time working in the high end automotive and lifestyle sector and before that, spent over 20 years with a local electrical retailer, supporting customers and people through a variety of roles

Harlow Rugby Club is easy to get to by car but please note some satnavs do mislocate the postcode. Please enter either Harlow Rugby Club or Harlow Way, Harlow into your satnav when looking for directions, rather than entering the venue postcode.

The club is located closest to the roundabout on Second Ave (A1025)/Howard Way/Tillwicks road, exiting at Howard Way.

There is onsite parking, and disabled parking available.

Train/Bus

The Stansted Express rail will bring you to Harlow Town train station.

From Harlow Town station, take bus number 10 going towards Church Langley for 5 stops (12 minutes) and exit at ‘Latton Farm’. Then head west on Second Avenue. This is a 6-minute walk to the venue.
