On Saturday 20 September we're celebrating 50 years of skateboarding in the Park with a talk and informal tour as well as some fun Skateboard lessons from our friends, North London Skate Club.
These workshops are designed to give complete beginners an introduction to the basics of skateboarding and provide an opportunity to try the sport in a safe and welcoming environment - both children and adults. These workshops are the perfect opportunity to give something new a go, all you need to bring with you is an open mind and we’ll provide all the safety gear and most importantly - skateboards! See you at the park!
North London Skate Club prioritise a sense of community and mutual learning. 'We believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute, regardless of their role or experience level. So, whether you’re a coach, a seasoned athlete, or a newcomer, you can always expect to be welcomed with open arms and supported by your peers.'
There are two 60 minute sessions:
11:15 – 12:15 - for children/young people aged 6 to 18 years old* (beginners)
12:30 – 13:30 - for adults aged 18+ (beginners or those returning to the sport)
*Under 14’s must be accompanied / observed throughout the session by a responsible adult.

Check in opens 10 mins prior to each session at the Skatepark. There will be a mandatory safety briefing where you will be introduced to the activity so latecomers may not be admitted.
