Konnichiwa everyone!

My name is Maria, and I’d like to invite you to a moment of contemplation through the Japanese tea ceremony.

I’ve been practicing Japanese Tea Ceremony following the Urasenke tradition for over 13 years, serve as the vice president of Chado Urasenke Tankokai Frankfurt Association, and in this capacity regularly teach beginners in Frankfurt and lead workshops.

In this session, I will give you a short introduction to the history of the Way of Tea and show you a simple tea ceremony that can even be carried out in a Western-style room. You can then try your hand at preparing your own matcha tea the traditional Japanese way.
