About this event

  • 6 hours 30 minutes

Designed for anyone recruiting staff from outside the UK, this course is for licensed sponsors or for those looking to become a sponsor. It covers the latest changes and the newly revised Points Based System in detail, including Tier 1 and Tier 5. Time is spent examining the shortage occupation list, intra-company transfers, and the practicalities of sponsorship. We also cover the employment of students who are sponsored by an education provider under the student route of the points based system.

We deliberately keep our workshops small to enable interaction and the opportunity to ask questions and share experience. This helps put the learning points into practice and therefore embed the knowledge. Our learning points for this session are:

Certificates of sponsorship

Resident labour market test & when is this required

Tradeable points within the new immigration system

Skill levels

Salary

Shortage occupations

English language

Certifying maintenance

Policies and procedures for compliance

Implications of Brexit upon your policies & procedures

Key tips for managing your immigration process

Home Office audit tips

Document checking techniques and proof of right to work
