The Skills Bootcamp in Content Creation and Website Development has been designed to meet the growing demand for skilled digital professionals who can create engaging content, build effective websites, and drive online visibility for businesses and organisations.
Introductory Session:
• Course starts on 9th October 2025 and runs until 22nd January 2026
• Opportunity to meet with expert Lecturers in Content Creation, Digital Marketing and Web Development
• Take part in taster activities to get a better understanding of the tools, platforms, and study requirements of the full taught programme

Course Outline:
The Skills Bootcamp in Content Creation and Website Development is a ten-week course designed for adult learners, aged 19 and over, who want to develop in-demand digital skills that are essential in today’s workplace. The course combines practical training in website design and development with creative skills in digital content production for online platforms.
Learners will gain knowledge of industry-standard tools and technologies for building websites, managing online content, and improving digital engagement. They will also explore key concepts in branding, user experience (UX), search engine optimisation (SEO), and social media integration.
Participants will take part in hands-on projects, peer-supported workshops, and real-world assignments that simulate professional briefs.
By attending the Skills Bootcamp in Content Creation and Website Development, learners will:
- Develop practical skills in website design and development using industry-standard platforms and tools.
- Understand customer segmentation and the customer journey.
- Produce professional digital content including copywriting, graphics and video tailored for online audiences.
- Understand the principles of user-friendly website design, accessibility, and responsive development.
- Gain core skills in coding, including Javascript, HTML and CSS
- Understand Internet security and legal and regulatory requirements
- Gain confidence in Content Management Systems, SEO, analytics and metrics to increase online reach and performance.
- Build project management, collaboration, and communication skills relevant to the digital sector.
- Learn from industry professionals with expertise in web development, digital marketing and creative media.
- Work towards building a portfolio of work to showcase to potential employers or clients and enhancing a professional online presence and Linkedin profile.
Learners will also benefit from access to guest speakers and industry experts who will share insights into digital career pathways, freelance opportunities and employment trends in content creation and website development.

Cost:
Thanks to funding from the Department for Education, there is no charge for individuals looking to re-train or upskill. SME employers will only need to pay 10% of the course fee if they enrol a member of staff (£233), whilst large organisations will be asked to contribute 30% (£699).
