The Skills Bootcamp in Project Management is a ten-week course where learners will master the essential methodologies, tools, and techniques required to initiate, plan, execute, and close projects successfully.
The Skills Bootcamp in Project Management programme is designed for anyone wishing to develop their current skills, or move into a new role, managing small to medium sized projects in the public, private or third sector. The programme covers a range of proven tools and techniques allowing participants to apply these to their own projects. It also examines how to identify and meet the needs of colleagues, customers and stakeholders including dealing with difficult situations driven by organisational constraints.
The Skills Bootcamp includes accredited and industry-recognised Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) units to further enhance career development opportunities.
The course covers core project management topics such as project initiation, developing business cases and stakeholder analysis. It explores a range of project methodologies including Prince2 and Agile, allowing participants to appraise the relative merits of each. Participants will engage in peer supported group discussions and reflection activities whilst appraising the usefulness of project management tools and techniques. Practical application is supported through work-based assignments and personalised feedback (see below for a full overview of the programme).
