Why do staff training? - CPD

Employee development supports business growth and development and has been shown to reduce staff turnover and increase morale.

Moray College UHI is part of the University of Highlands and Islands based in the centre of Elgin. The institution, which is also home to the Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health offers a range of training and skills development opportunities aimed at businesses.

In response to business requirements and demands Moray College UHI now has a suite of Continuous Personal Development provision [CPD] across a range of sectors which was developed from discussions and research with businesses across Moray.

Moray College UHI is able to offer this provision flexibly meaning that more and more businesses are able to access quality accredited training for their employees without losing staff from the workplace. Much of the training can accessed online and digitally, in the workplace, part time and is flexible.

This informal seminar will discuss:

  • An example of the range of employee development training options available across all sectors from Moray College UHI.

  • It will also talk about the new Flexible Workforce Development Fund aimed at employers who pay the Apprenticeship Levy.

  • The Employer Recruitment Incentive, which is aimed at smaller employers who may be considering taking on a young person under the Modern Apprenticeship Programme.

With the increasing range of provision available on your doorstep we will have training to suit your business so come along to the Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health at the college on the 13th November at 10am to find out more. Check out our website at www.moray.uhi.ac.uk.
