A chance to find out more about the Skills for Life programmes
About this event
Zippy’s Friends (ages 5-7), Apple’s Friends (ages 7-9) and Passport (ages 9-11) are programmes taught over a school year which are proven to improve children’s coping and social skills. The programmes meet all of the mental health requirements of the RSE statutory guidance. The theory behind the programmes is that of “coping” helping children to develop a wide repertoire of healthy coping skills to allow them to deal with the problems they will come across.
SPARK Resilience is a PSHE and SEL programme for 10 - 12 year olds at the end of primary school or beginning of secondary school which uses mindfulness, positive psychology and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to give children skills to boost their strengths, control strong emotions and reframe habitual ways of thinking.
