Description

Effective leadership and management of behaviour leads to positive outcomes for all pupils. Teachers and support staff need a toolbox of positive strategies to address underlying needs and resulting behaviours. We have developed a programme of workshops that will develop your skills in leading and managing behaviour both in the classroom and across your school. The workshops are aimed at both teachers and support staff who would like to broaden and enhance their skills and confidence. The workshops are all stand-alone but together form a structured programme.

  • Effective Classroom leadership (Behaviour Management) – an introduction

  • Behaviour for learning - whose behaviours need to change?
  • Reflective practice. Pro-social modelling and techniques to support learning.

Weds 10th January

  • Why do you do that?” Understanding and managing behaviour in the classroom.
    Examines models for understanding behaviour in the classroom.
    Explores how these models can be applied to practical strategies for responding helpfully and effectively.
    Considers a model for planning for effective behaviour management.

All workshops are free for Sigma Alliance members. Individual workshops are £30 and the full programme is just £250 for Non-Alliance members
