Skills for the Future of Youth Work
Event Information
Description
LET'S SHAPE THE COMMUNITY ANIMATEURS OF TOMORROW!
One of the key challenges in Europe is to build youth workers’ and volunteers' competences to better reach out and engage disadvantaged youth in their local communities.
15% of European youth is a NEET, that is one out of six young people not in employment, education, or training. While formal education is struggling to find solutions for these target groups, non-formal education stakeholders achieve great results in providing training, civic and social activities for them, hence enhancing their social inclusion.
The Lifelong Learning Platform is organising this Round Table. It is the final conference of the European project "COMANITY" (which stands for "community animateur"), funded by the Erasmus+ programme for 2017-2019.
Speakers from the EU institutions (European Commission and Parliament), youth workers, civil society among others. Participants are also encouraged to bring up successful initiatives in the field of youth work, volunteering and social inclusion.
