Description

Apprenticeships - You're Hired

An apprenticeship job fair will take place on Wednesday 24 October, 1pm-5pm at The Galleries Shopping Centre, Broadmead, Bristol.

Prior to the job fair we are offering 100 people the opportunity to take part in four skills workshops which will help participants prepare for applying for an apprenticeship.

Each attendee will take part in four workshops on a rota:

  • How to complete a job application, with a particular focus of writing a supporting statement.
  • How to use the National Apprenticeships Service ‘Find an Apprenticeship’ Website
  • Mock Interviews
  • Building Resilience.

Representatives from Digital Profile will also be available to support attendees to create a profile which will assist in future job searching.

The workshops will be supported by the National Careers Service, the Department for Work and Pensions and numerous other local support providers. Local employers will be supporting the mock interview sessions which also offers a great opportunity to meet organisations some of whom have apprenticeship vacancies.

Places on the workshop will be offered on a first come first serve basis so book now to avoid disappointment.

A free lunch will be included and you will be given priority access to the job fair ahead of the advertised time. If you have any dietary requirement please email WORKS@bristol.gov.uk.

If you have any accessibility requirements or if you require an interpreter please email WORKS@bristol.gov.uk.

Free CV checking service

If you would like the National Careers Service to review your CV ahead of the job fair please email it to WORKS@bristol.gov.uk by 15 October. Your CV will be sent back to you with comments before the job fair on 24 October.
