An informative educational event on skin cancer diagnosis and surgery Dermoscopy /Dematoscope.
The event will be hosted by experienced cosmetic surgeon, Mr Jong Kim. Offering guidance and support to health care professionals, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions at the end of the talk.
Mr Jong Kim is a NHS Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon based at the University Hospital of North Durham, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, with over 20 years of Plastic Surgery experience.
He qualified in Medicine MBChBEd from Edinburgh University in 1997. He subsequently trained at Glasgow, Manchester, Cambridge and Oxford teaching hospitals. In the latter stages he completed the Higher Specialist Plastic surgery program on the Cambridge University rotation, obtaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England FRCS(Plast) in 2012.
In addition, he has undertaken further specialist fellowship training in:
- Skin cancer, Melanoma and Surgical Oncology - Sydney Melanoma Unit, Australia
- Microsurgical and Cosmetic fellowship in Seoul, South Korea. South Korea boasts the most advanced and innovative microsurgical and cosmetic procedures.
Mr Kim also has a strong commitment to both research, training and education having been awarded Fellow status from the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and Academy of Medical educators (FAcadMed) for his teaching and educational activities.
The event will be held on Microsoft Teams Live(you do not need a camera or mic). You will be able to see the speaker, presentation and you can ask questions through the Q&A section.
