Event Details

Skydive and support children living with cancer in Northern Ireland!

Registration Fee: £40 per person     Minimum Sponsorship: £420 per person

Fancy an adrenaline rush like never before? It's time to tick 'Skydive' off that bucket list in 2018, by signing up for a skydive with Cancer Fund for Children.

Register your details today for your free information pack.

You can take on the skydive either as an individual or as part of a team, so why not gather your family or a group of friends or colleagues, and take on the challenge of a lifetime?

A tandem jump is a combined free-fall and parachute descent where you are strapped to a professional parachute instructor. The plane will climb to around 13,000 feet where you will exit and begin your free-fall. After reaching speeds of approximately 120 miles per hour your free-fall will end at around 5,000 feet when the tandem instructor will deploy the parachute and you will fly for about 7 minutes towards your friends and family waving below!

We can book a date for your skydive at any time throughout the year. Once your full sponsorship amount of £420 has been raised, we can then proceed with booking a date for your jump with our event facilitator Moonjumper. Please note, Moonjumper require at least 3 weeks notice to be able to book your preferred jump date. All skydives take place at the Wild Geese Skydive Centre in Garvagh, Coleraine.

Your support really makes a difference

Every participant will make a real difference. The sponsorship you raise from taking part could cover the cost for 2 children living with cancer to attend a weekend residential at Narnia, Cancer Fund for Children's residential facility, where children living with cancer take part in group activities to help them cope better with their illness and know they are not alone.

** Please note you must be in the 16 - 80 age group to participate in a skydive. Maximum weight limit for males is 15 stone (95kg) and 13 stone (83kg) for females. **

Cancer Fund for Children

Cancer Fund for Children is the leading charity for children and young people living with cancer in Northern Ireland. We support all children aged 0-24 affected by cancer so we can help them and their families cope with the impact cancer has on their lives. Every week in Northern Ireland, three families will hear the devastating news that their child has been diagnosed with cancer. Cancer Fund for Children understands how crushing this diagnosis can be, and that outside of medical treatment, there is a family life which needs to be rebuilt. Cancer Fund for Children Specialists provide emotional, financial and practical support to the whole family, including brothers or sisters who are often left isolated, frightened and anxious. Our therapeutic short break centre, Daisy Lodge provides a much needed relaxing break for the whole family, giving them time to spend together, relax and recharge their batteries ready for whatever will come next on their cancer journey.
