 Skye At Night: People and Places

 Documenting the people and landscapes of the Isle of Skye between sunset and

sunrise.

 Andrew Tobin, an ex Guildforf Photography Society member, spent five years photographing the people and

places of the Isle of Skye, with a twist - all the photographs were taken at night.

Andrew highlights the emergency crews, chefs, hospitality workers, otter

rescuers and others who keep the island functioning when everyone else is

asleep. He also photographed Skye's amazing landscapes in a different light, and

often no light at all. The result is a unique body of work that has become a

coffee-table book with rave reviews. It shows the Isle of Skye like it hasn't been

seen before. Additionally, all profits from book sales are donated by Andrew to

the Skye Mountain Rescue team. In this talk, Andrew will describe the process of

creating the Skye At Night book from motivation and concept, the photography

itself, book design and printing.
