Event Details

The Slade School of Fine Art is delighted to welcome Roger McGough to launch his editioned work 'The Long and Winding', produced by Slade Press in 2012 for a special evening as part of the Slade Print Fair, 28- 30 November.

'The Long and Winding' is a small edition of 20 + 5 Artist’s Proofs, produced in-house by Slade Press with Roger McGough in 2012. The publication features a series of etchings and screenprints by the author. Roger will give a reading and discuss the production of his illustrated work with Klaas Hoek, Head of Print at the Slade.

The Slade Press facilitates projects that seek to explore relationships between Print and its surrounding media. It has and continues to initiate print projects in small editions with an emphasis on experimentation and research rather than on production. Print has since its conception been a place where word and image meet and a place for publication. The Slade Press, as a press within a department of Fine Art, aims to make possible projects that otherwise might be more difficult to realize.
