Slade Editions
Slade Editions was launched in 2013 with an original new limited edition print, Untitled: Dog Door, by artist Phyllida Barlow, Emerita Professor of Fine Art. Slade Editions provides a regular opportunity to invite guest artists to make works in the Slade Print Studios. All proceeds raised from the sale of Slade Editions go towards scholarship funds for Slade students.
Lisa Milroy, Head of Graduate Painting at the Slade School of Fine Art, has produced a series of four stunning silk scarves for Slade Editions 2014. The motifs, from Milroy’s original fabric designs, play upon aspects of her practice with its focus on still life, including wearable dress-paintings. Just one hundred of each design have been produced.
Lisa Milroy was born in Vancouver, Canada and graduated from Goldsmiths College in 1982. She lives and works in London. Milroy is Head of Graduate Painting at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL since 2009, and an advisor at the Rijksakademie van Beldeende Kunsten, Amsterdam since 1995. Milroy was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts in 2005. She is currently Artist Trustee at Tate, and her work is held in many public and private collections.
