About this event

Slave-Free Alliance is pleased to collaborate with Cumbria PCC to present a one hour modern slavery awareness webinar for the agriculture sector and rural community.

On completion of the webinar, delegates will be able to:

  • explain what modern slavery is, the different types that exist and exploitation in the agriculture sector and rural community;
  • recognise the signs and indicators of modern slavery; and
  • respond appropriately if a concern related to modern slavery is identified.

Slave-Free Alliance is part of the charity, Hope for Justice which partners with business to reduce the risk of modern slavery within supply chains and business operations.  

Hope for Justice is a global non-profit organisation which aims to end human trafficking and modern slavery. It is active in the United Kingdom, United States, Cambodia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Norway and Australia, and has its headquarters in Manchester, England.

Hope for Justice is involved in prevention, rescue, restoration and reform of all forms of modern slavery.

Our involvement in the rescue of victims of modern slavery, give us a unique insight into how businesses can unwittingly have victims of modern slavery in their operations and supply chains.
