Phrases Lewys Holt
'Phrases' is a one-person dance, multimedia and spoken word performance. It is a minimal, reflective piece that continually shape-shifts between PowerPoint presentation, dance performance, stand-up set, private conversation, and storytelling recital.
“Phrases is fun, eccentric and clever”
(Voice Magazine ★★★★)
Unpretentious, honest and thought-provoking, Holt offers a wonderful study in overthinking.”
(Broadway Baby ★★★★)
'It was really inspiring...there is no substitute for intelligent, reflective, thoughtful ideas and approaches to making"
(Pete Shenton, New Art Club)'

Shhh Hannah Ballou
She must get the baby to sleep in time for the performance, but if not...the show must go on. Don't laugh too loudly or things could get ugly.
Shhh is an ongoing live art experiment that premiered at the Yard Theatre in 2018, produced by Womxn SRSLY and subsequently developed at The Place in 2019 and revived for the Mother Art Prize show at the Zabludowicz Collection in 2023.
Can Ballou keep entertaining an audience while not waking up her child? What if she won’t go to sleep at all? Can we put her to bed together and save the show?
Ballou serves bucketloads of feminist comedy tempered by gut-wrenching ruminations on mothers & daughters. Riveting, raunchy, and risky, Shhh is the mother of all comedy shows.
