About Plan Life Go
In this vivid memoir, the artist Julie Fogarty draws a psychic map of 1990s Dublin in the midst of both an explosive rave scene and a devastating heroin epidemic - both forever leaving their marks on the social fabric of the Irish capital, and on her.

Chaotic, thoughtful, hilarious and sobering, Plan Life Go traverses raves and rehab, courtrooms and dance-floors, house parties and NA meetings, jail cells and bedroom breakdowns. Ferociously told through the eyes of an exceptional artist losing herself in hedonism, addiction, and queer lust, Plan Life Go strikes at the heart of what it means to almost destroy oneself, and what it takes to crawl back from the brink.

This astonishingly original memoir doesn’t so much unseat the characterisations and clichés of addiction and self-discovery, as completely tear them apart.

This event will feature conversations about drug use, addiction, and other subject matter not suitable for people under 18.
