Slow Riding Skills Day with SAM
Sun 25 June 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
Most motorcycle accidents happen at slow speed, so wouldn’t it be good if you could find somewhere SAFE to practice for free?
Come to our Slow Speed Skills Day and practice on our Kawasaki ER5 training bike, then have a go on your own bike in a safe environment. All riders are welcome, no matter how little experience, or very experienced; old-timer, first-timer it doesn’t matter to us. As long as you can ride a motorbike or scooter you have the basic skills required. We’ll help you to refine them.
We will have a variety of obstacle courses set out on a tarmac carpark to test your riding skills and balance. Our qualified Observers will be on hand to give you hints and tips to help you improve your slow speed handling skills.
Did we mention that it’s a free event? Well it is! It’s a free event.
So come along and have a go. Bring your mates too. There’ll be tea and coffee available, so you can have a chat whilst you watch others going through their paces.
What’s the worst that could happen? Wounded pride because you dabbed a foot to keep your balance? On the other hand you could pick up some new, or improve existing, slow riding skills.
You can book up in advance to avoid the queues or just turn up on the day and take pot luck.
