Slow Thinking Lab
Overview
It’s hard to carve out time to think. But even if we find ourselves with a clear hour, a sharp pencil and a good cup of coffee, it can still be tricky to get started. This World Philosophy Day, join the philosopher and founder of Philosophy at Work, Dr. Brennan Jacoby, for a special Slow Thinking Lab. Sharing frameworks and tools that Philosophy at Work uses to help businesses think their best, Brennan will lead us through a series of exercises designed to help you think through a matter that’s important to you. Bring with you something you’d like to get to the bottom of – a big (or small) life decision, an important project from work, a difficult conversation you need to have, a creative project you’d like to get clear about, or anything else you’d like to think through.You’ll leave this session with:
- Greater clarity and insights about your chosen task, challenge or decision;
- A 4-step process for practising good thinking; and
- Techniques you can use to slow down and focus.
