Directions:

Vehicular access: From A4010 Wycombe Road to Princes Risborough turn off on to Small Dean Lane opposite the Golden Cross Pub, look out for the Chiltern Rangers A Board that will show you the right turn into the NT Depot Car Park. We will then meet you there and walk up the Park Wood Chalk Grassland. Take care along Small Dean Lane as it is quite narrow.

Nearest Postcode HP27 0PR

The Task:

We will be cuttting back scrub into a network of sheltered sunny small glades, suitable for the Duke of Burgundy Butterfly.

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

10.00: Arrival for safety briefing, please don't be late!

10.15: Work begins

11.30: Tea & coffee break

13.00: Lunch Break - please bring your own

15.00: Work finishes, time to go home!

What to bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain.

Please bring plenty of fluids and a packed lunch. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Access: We will be working on sloping ground today

Please note:

Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.

Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
