Welcome to Small Furry Behaviour!
A topic sometimes overlooked when it comes to clinical animal behaviour and behavioural medicine education - this talk will shine a spotlight on all things small furries. How can we build our confidence with seeing these species if they are not often referred? What approach should we follow with these cases? We will take a look at species-specific needs, a logical approach to the small furry clinical behavioural presentation and the toolkit we can delve into for these cases.
About your speakers:
Carrie qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012 and spent three years in mixed general practice before pursuing her interest in behavioural medicine. She completed an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour and became an RCVS and EBVS European Veterinary Specialist in Behavioural Medicine in 2025 – following a residency programme and set of examinations which covers a wide range of avian and mammalian companion animal species. Carrie is Clinical Lead at Behavioural Referrals Veterinary Practice and a director of CCAB Certification.
