Join us at Studio 54 for a friendly and fulfilling life drawing class with the support of tutor Rebecca Scott in the heart of Glasgow.

About this event

Studio 54 is delighted to introduce their new life drawing classes with artist Rebecca Scott. The numbers will always be kept low to ensure a great experience and quality tuition. The venue is an art studio/gallery space which is well equipped for classes and offers great natural light. Professional life models will be booked for the classes. Rebecca has over ten years of experience as a tutor. The class will offer a challenging and enjoyable sequence of poses - including short warm-ups and longer poses which will allow for more study and detail. Refreshments are provided at the break. The venue is right across from Glasgow Central Station, meaning that the class is very accessible for those coming on public transport from outside the city too.

If you are considering life drawing classes, but are not sure where to begin, our class is open to total beginners. The class will be relaxed and welcoming to all. Drawing boards will be provided for participants. Please bring the art media of your choice. The classes will take place on the first Thursday of the month and two time slots are planned - 2.30 pm until 4.30 pm and 6 pm until 8 pm. To book your place, please fill in the form. Any queries will be answered by Rebecca. The cost of the two hour class is £10 per person. We pay the optimum rate as requested by our models.

OUR REFUND POLICY: If you require to cancel your place at Life Drawing at Studio 54 less than two weeks before the event, we are unable to refund your payment. If you cancel more than two weeks before the date of the booked class, you will be refunded in full minus a £2 administration fee. In the unlikely event that the organisers require to cancel an event, all participants will be refunded in full and you will always be notified as soon as possible. By booking, you agree to these terms.

RESPECTING OUR MODELS: It is extremely important that the model feels comfortable amongst us, modelling is an extremely skilled job and requires considerable concentration by him or her to maintain a constant pose. As part of respect for the model we are conscious that it is important that neither our tutor or our students make personal comments about him or her. The concentration required by model and students alike can easily be disturbed and put artists and model off. Only the tutor or someone designated by the tutor should direct the poses, change lighting or heating. It is vital that no one other than the tutor approaches the model. This will ensure the model feels comfortable and safe. Please do not photograph the model at any time, this applies to both tutor and artists unless written permission is given by the model. Please refrain from talking about how the model looks during the session or within earshot of the model (or anyone else).
