Make your own case/wallet from leather with no stitching, using rivets and lacing techniques. This three hour workshop is a relaxed introduction to leatherwork with tutor Esther. You will be able to choose from a number of set patterns to make a wallet/case from a selection of ilalian vegetable tanned leather. Pattern designs can be tweaked to make it your own , You'll be able to emboss your wallet/case with your name or other words to personalise it.

You will learn how to cut leather from a pattern, hole punch, lacing tecniques, set rivets and other fastening and emboss leather. You will take more these skills and your own personalised leather wallet/case.
Workshops are hosted by Nineteen in our light and airy studio at the rear of the shop. We prefer a small group, offering lots of time with the tutor and plenty of support in learning something new. We provide teas, coffee, cordial and homemade cakes served on vintage bone china by way of refreshment.
There is free on-street parking on surrounding roads, as well as on Alexandra Road itself although the bays outside of the shops carry a 2 hour restriction. We are happy to work to dietary requirements such as gluten free, please email to us before the workshop to ensure individual needs are catered to. Entrance is via the shop, where there is one small step up into the shop. Please be aware that the toilets are downstairs on the lower floor.

Workshops held at 19 are sessions run by third party artists and makers to deliver instructions and guidance on a creative technique or skill. Purchasing a place on one of these sessions commits 19 and the artist or maker to deliver the session. Places are only secure once full payment is received.
