Event description

Description

Small Steps is a community-focused organisation committed to raising awareness of far-right extremism in the UK. Founded in 2015, Small Steps aims to counteract the reach of far-right ideology, by developing a counter-narrative to racism. We know from experience that violence is never the answer; it only divides us more.

As former members of far-right organisations, such as the National Front, EDL and Combat 18, they have first-hand knowledge of the wrongdoings and weaknesses of Britain’s far-right extremist groups. And they are here to offer you their insight.

Today, more and more young people across Britain are vulnerable to recruitment by the far right. The world around them is chaotic, and they want to make sense of the injustices they see every day. Far-right groups exploit these fears to promote their racist agenda.

· Professional Awareness session This session shows how people become involved in Far-Right extremism, details of the Far Rights objectives, how it operates, recruits, its goals and suggested activities to counter and reduce its influence and how the Far-Right trains for conflict.
