Join us for this FREE and lively event in London to discuss the latest topics in Smart Cities (topics TBC).
In the age of IoT and SMART technology, being able to track customer usage is driving huge volumes of consumer data, but what’s the point?!
This event will bring together thought leaders across Energy, Telecommunications, Healthcare, and Education to present to a select number of Data Scientists intrigued by the change in focus of their role (non-SMART to SMART), and the strategic focus/positioning of each business within their respective industry.
The evening will open with some light networking, along with some FREE drinks and food, so get there early! We will then welcome our speakers to discuss the latest in Smart Cities followed by a Q&A where you will get the opportunity to ask questions on the topics they have discussed. The evening will finish with a chance to do some further networking.
6:00pm - Light networking, food and drinks
6:30pm - Speakers and Q&A
8:00pm - Final questions, more chance to network and wrap up

Bruno is a manager in the analytics team at Limejump. The analytics team is in charge, among other things, of developing the models and optimisation engine behind Limejump's Virtual Power Plant. Prior to joining Limejump, Bruno was working in Corporate Strategy for EDF Energy, and previously worked for RTE, the French Transmission System Operator, on energy policy issues such as the creation of the French capacity market.
Limejump is a data-driven utility, creating new ways to earn revenue and maximise flexibility by bringing together a portfolio of energy storage, distributed generator and businesses into one Virtual Power Plant with the ability to access the same market opportunities as large power stations. With one of the largest aggregated battery networks in Europe, Limejump is pioneering new, smarter ways to balance our energy system and decrease the reliance on large fossil fuel plant.
Bruno will be discussing how the energy industry is behind other sectors in terms of big data, and how an increase in the granularity of the metering (more data), coupled with cloud based optimisation, can unlock additional revenues for small generators as well as industrial and commercial customers, and help increase the amount of renewable energy on the power system.
Jo-Jo is the COO and co-founder of Electron: a London-based start-up in the energy blockchain space. At Electron she is taking a “collaboratively disruptive” approach to designing more efficient, resilient systems for the energy market with a number of key industry stakeholders.
Her energy roots were planted in the early years of the rapid renewable build-out. Then, as solar and wind assets graduated from private equity balance sheets to those of insurance and pension funds, she moved into cleantech and software VC. Most recently, she was a management consultant at McKinsey & Co.
She is also an advocate for energy innovation and women in tech more generally and an energy community curator for Singularity University's new London chapter.
