Join us for an exclusive demonstration of collaborative robotic welding!

The Lanarkshire Smart Hub, one of Scotland’s leading centres for commercial robotics, has supported hundreds of companies in automating their processes. We are delighted to offer a demonstration for the first time on using collaborative robots (cobots) for welding.

Robotic welding is a rapidly growing industry that ensures precise and consistent welds, improves product quality, enhances safety by reducing exposure to heat and fumes, and offers unmatched flexibility. Cobots can be easily reprogrammed to adapt to various welding tasks, making them an essential tool for modern manufacturing.

This is one of the first demonstrations of this cutting-edge technology in Scotland. You'll learn how to programme a welding robot and have the opportunity to try it yourself in an interactive session.

To ensure you experience the latest in robotic welding technology and best practices, we’re partnering the innovative Finish and Danish companies Kemppi and Smooth Robotics, both pioneers in this field. The session is also being supported by SP Elements, Scotland's main supplier of Universal Robots.

Tickets are selling quickly, so don’t miss out—sign up today!

We look forward to welcoming you along to Smart Hub Lanarkshire.

Organised by

Smart Hub Lanarkshire is based at New College Lanarkshire, within the Motherwell Campus.

The Hub includes:

  • A Robotics demonstration facility with six-axis robotic arms with adaptive grippers, controllers and polyscope software.
  • Hub space for manufacturing companies to meet, learn, access industry-specific business support, academic and partner agency. expertise

A key objective of the Hub is to help SMEs to modernise, digitise and automate to improve efficiency, boost productivity and grow.

The Hub also provide Robotics learning opportunities for school pupils to encourage interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, as potential career options. If you are a local school that would like to participate in the Hub programme, please contact us to find out more.
