Smart Partnerships with COSLA and Young Scot - Food and Entitlements session

About this event

COSLA  and  Young Scot  are partnering to deliver a series of online shared learning events.

These seminars will focus on how Local Authorities are using the Young Scot National Entitlement Card (Young Scot NEC) and Young Scot’s services to support inclusive place-based growth, increase wellbeing and reduce child and young person poverty.

Please join us to find out how you can support your local young people.

Each online seminar will:

Showcase the work of Local Authorities – highlighting the impact of their work in using Young Scot NEC and Young Scot’s services to support local young people.

Raise awareness of the entire suite of Young Scot services that can help local young people to thrive.

Explore how we drive innovation through data and insights.

Dates:

Wed 12th May 2021 - Food and Entitlements

Wed 16th June - Transport and Travel

What to expect

We will highlight how Young Scot services can enhance Local Authority service provision and support young people, with core focus on the Young Scot National Entitlement Card, Young Scot Membership services (including our #YSAttain work) and Young Scot’s information provision.

These learning events are aimed at elected members, education, youth work and children services representatives, and key partners from across Scotland. The purpose of the events is to look at how local partners have delivered food, transport and youth engagement services and how they have managed to adapt those services and entitlements during Covid-19.

In advance of each session, we will provide case-studies and resources on how local partners have adapted and implemented various #YSAttain models of delivery across Scotland. There will also be an opportunity to hear from young people themselves, as well as to share your own experience of working on these topics, and for you to ask any questions you might have.

How to attend

The events will take place online on Microsoft Teams and you will be sent login details from COSLA closer to the date. Please register for each session separately. If you have any queries or would like to showcase work you may be carrying out in these areas, please e-mail organiser maried@young.scot
