Description

Smart Social Housing
Innovation in Independent Living

Sponsored by Secure Meters ӏ Hosted by Optivo

Technology designed to support independent living has evolved rapidly in recent years, as numerous housing and care providers have used the analogue to digital switchover to consider newly-developed connected solutions.

In fact, a significant number of early adopter landlords are blazing a trail and going live with a new generation of web-connected, including wearable and non-wearable sensor technologies.

These Internet of Things (IoT) solutions have the potential to deliver new freedoms to thousands of people living in older-age and with numerous conditions such as dementia; reducing the burden on family, carers and primary care.

Hosted by Optivo, and sponsored by place-tech specialists Secure Meters, ‘Innovation in Independent Living’ seeks to share live examples of innovation and good practice, providing a useful foundation for action moving forward.

Discover first-hand how new technologies are:
• Reducing isolation
• Preventing falls
• Supporting those with dementia and other conditions
• Monitoring medication, hydration and food intake
• Alerting when help is needed

The event is free for anyone working for a social landlord, local authority or care provider – and is ideally suited to those leading commissioning or delivering adult care.

Smart Social Housing is a forum specifically created for the sharing of innovation and good practice.

Confirmed speakers include:
• Rob Padwick, Clinical Lead, Secure Meters UK Ltd
• Robin Deane, Head of Independent Living Neighbourhoods, Optivo
• Mark Allen, Head of Strategic Commissioning, Adult Services, Hampshire County Council
