About this event

Join Smart Works Scotland for the latest event in our Smart Works Insights Series, where we explore the theme of ‘Technology and Change’ - with a special focus on how these shifts are transforming the job market and recruitment landscape. At this event we will present a panel of visionary leaders that will be announced shortly.

This event is a part of the Smart Works Insights programme, a series of engaging events throughout 2025 and beyond that will shape purposeful, inclusive, and forward-thinking leadership.

On the night, you can look forward to a live panel discussion, facilitated by Smart Works Scotland Trustee Christine Esson, with industry experts and thought leaders. An inspiring and impactful story will be shared from a former Smart Works Scotland client, there will be opportunities to connect and network with our community, and complimentary refreshments available.

Tickets: For a limited time only, pre-sale tickets are available for a discounted price of £20 per person

Every single penny raised will go directly to Smart Works Scotland, helping unemployed women in Scotland with the coaching, clothing and confidence to achieve their potential and transform their lives.

Don’t miss our raffle, which helps us raise even more funds to support our mission, with amazing prizes to be won. More details to come soon.

We hope to see you there.

Smart Works Scotland provides styling advice, interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women. We help them look amazing and feel confident enough to succeed at their job interview, changing the direction of their lives.

Our highly successful, two hour core dressing and interview preparation service achieves consistently high levels of success for our clients, and is at the heart of everything we do.

In the dressing session, with the advice and expertise of our volunteer stylists, each client is offered an excellent selection of high quality clothing to wear for their interview.  The clothes we choose to wear have a huge impact on how we are perceived by others, particularly when meeting people for the first time. Selecting what to wear for a job interview is a critical element of our non-verbal communication, and can be a huge influence on the interviewer when they are making a decision on whom to employ.

We make sure that our clients look fabulous, feel comfortable in the clothes they have chosen, and that they have everything they need, from a winter coat to a pair of tights.

Following the dressing session, our highly skilled volunteer interview coaches work one-to-one with each client in a compassionate and supportive way.  The interview session focuses on increasing the awareness of her own strengths, answering questions effectively and understanding what is expected of them at interview.

Our interview volunteers are all senior managers, HR professional or executive coaches and in a focused session, ahead of a job interview, can have a significant impact on our clients, giving them the confidence to succeed.
