Evaluation:

All attendees will be sent a short online evaluation form to complete, post-event. This will assist us greatly in tailoring future events and will help us see what is of value to creatives of colour during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Rules of Engagement:

Kenny Mammarella-D'Cruz, a founding member of Words of Colour's Creative Wellbeing Hub, created this set of ground rules for his long-running and hugely popular MenSpeak group. We will be using them for our programme so please read them beforehand (especially no.1-11) so that everyone can have a meaningful and respectful session.

About Adrianne McKenzie:

She films and produces video content for Words of Colour and for their clients and partners, including events, interviews, short documentaries or viral web content. She is also Words of Colour's resident podcast producer, producing the in-house series Black Love Bytes and podcasts for clients and partners.

Adrianne is a versatile videographer with experience in creating content for not just for events but for the education, mental health, and literary sectors. In 2012 she set up AMC Media, her visual communications company. Past highlights include working at the London 2012 Olympics & Paralympics as a camera operator & winning the 2017 Portobello Film Festival’s Best Film Award for On the Ground At Grenfell, a documentary about the Grenfell Tower Fire for which she was Director of Photography.

About Words of Colour Productions:

Words of Colour Productions is a creative communications agency that develops, promotes and facilitates writers of colour of all genres. We collaborate with arts and creative industries to increase cultural inclusion, and create multi-platform and multi-media projects to reshape the single narrative misrepresenting culturally diverse communities.

Please Note:

This session is part of a wider programme specifically for, and part of Words of Colour's professional commitment to, writers and creatives of colour.

Due to the delicate context in which we are running these sessions, and the fact that the majority are not 'events' but are workshops, group work and 1-2-1 sessions, we will not be recording or live streaming for public access, except for Sustainable Design for Social Impact with Ahsan Khan and Music, Spirituality and Giving Back: In Conversation with DJ Chillz. We may create selected podcasts from the audio, if relevant, and only of the facilitator, with their permission, as we want to respect people's confidentiality.
