Following the success of Laura Trott MP’s recent Sevenoaks panel on smartphones in schools, the event will continue the conversation, exploring the impact of smartphones on children and education, and highlighting how schools can work together to support healthier tech habits for young people.
The evening is open to local parents, teachers, and school leaders and will include a panel discussion followed by a Q&A, giving attendees the chance to ask questions and share their views on the impact of smartphones on young people’s learning, mental health, and social development.
The panel will consist of:
- Laura Trott (Member of Parliament for Sevenoaks, Swanley and the Dartford Villages)
- Giovanna McRae (Headteacher, St Bartholomew’s Primary School)
- Matthew Scott (Kent Police and Crime Commissioner)
- Arabella Skinner (Health Professionals for Safer Screens)
- A representative from the campaign organisation Smartphone Free Childhood
It should be a brilliant event, and we hope many local parents, teachers, and school leaders will be able to join us!
