About this event

Clear, accurate sentences are essential for written communication. The course considers the essential ingredients required for sentence writing and applies this to explore some of the common challenges children encounter such as subject/ verb agreement, comma splicing and run-on sentences.

Course aims:

Explore the grammatical elements required for good sentence writing
Demonstrate practical approaches to teach sentence writing
Provide course delegates with ‘take away’ ideas to embed in their teaching.

Handouts and resources are provided electronically and colleagues are encouraged to bring their laptop or electronic device to annotate their handouts as the session is delivered.

Yes, we distribute electronic copies of the sessions in the week before the course.
