Overview

Join us to learn how your SME can make a meaningful difference while building future talent for your business.

In October 2025, we launched our SME Toolkit, and this January, we’re thrilled to host a virtual SME Drop-In Clinic designed to support employers across the UK in strengthening and expanding their youth employability programmes.

This clinic will focus on the SME Toolkit — a practical extension of our Work Experience Works (WEX) best-practice guidance, co-created with our network of employers, partners, and young people. The toolkit and guidance are designed to ensure that work experience programmes are purposeful, inclusive, structured, and genuinely impactful.

SMEs are the backbone of the UK economy and play a vital role in shaping the future workforce. MtW is dedicated to supporting SMEs who are ready to make a difference by offering meaningful work experience opportunities to NEET (not in education, employment or training) young people.

This session is open to all SMEs, whether you are already part of Movement to Work or not.

About Movement to Work

Movement to Work (MtW) is a not-for-profit coalition of UK employers, government bodies, and civil society organisations committed to breaking the “no experience, no job” cycle. Since 2013, we’ve supported the delivery of over 225,000 work placements with some of the UK’s most recognisable employers.

We offer fully funded, expert support to help businesses create inclusive, high-impact opportunities for young people - especially those facing the greatest barriers.

We work alongside employers to design meaningful experiences that empower NEET young people to thrive while helping organisations unlock fresh, diverse talent.
