Collaborate to Innovate (C2N) is an exciting project in the broad life sciences domain which launched in 2016, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund. C2N is led by MedCity, King's College London, University College London, Queen Mary University of London, and Imperial College London.
C2N has been set up to help London SMEs achieve applied research/clinical innovations, in domains such as drug discovery, devices, diagnostics, and digital health. C2N will support partnerships between academics and companies who have common goals and complementary skills, leading to knowledge transfer and commercialisation of the proposed innovations.
These partnerships will be in the form of Collaborative Research Projects (CRPs), which:
Have up to £100,000 support available in eligible costs
Are typically 6-12 months in duration
Require no contributions from the SME. All costs are borne by the academic partner.
