The Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) presents the first in a series of new workshops aimed at developing skills for music professionals in Scotland: SMIA Workshops: Crowdfunding w/ Tim Wright (Twintangibles)
About the Workshop
Crowdfunding is an important and enduring approach to creating funding. But it's about a lot more than money. Crowdfunding is hard. Success rates remain low, around an average of 30%, meaning about 70% fail to meet even their financial targets. To truly win at crowdfunding you need to make the right choices and build a solid campaign and that can be challenging.
This workshop will explore the power of crowdfunding to provide both funds and much more besides to your musical project, providing a comprehensive structure and template of how to plan and execute a successful campaign.
Taking place from 9am-12pm on Tuesday 10 January in the Screening Room at CitizenM Glasgow, this workshop will provide extensive advice and training on Crowdfunding to all attending, as well as offer the chance for individuals to speak to Tim to get advice on their own projects or ideas.
