Event description

Ready for a challenge of a lifetime? Well why not register to conquer the highest mountain in Wales whilst helping to raise funds and awareness of Noor Ul Islam Trust's Project Rebuild.

Join us for a one-day adventure as we trek to the top of the highest mountain in Wales, the mighty Mount Snowdon.

Snowdon is situated in the glorious mountain range of Snowdonia, where on a clear day you will be treated to some absolutely specular views. Conquering the 1085m tall mountain, will take approximately 5 hours of trekking up and down the rocky terrain.

Noor Ul Islam Trust is currently raising funds to redevelop the Mosque & Community Centre in Leyton, East London. The project is to create a four floor state of the arts hub which meets the needs of the entire community through worship, education, fitness, health and well-being. More details about the project and an update can be found through http://www.noorulislam.org.uk/project-updates. The project will cost approximately £8 million to complete. Alhamdulillah we have raised £4.3 million and aim to raise another £3.7 million inshaAllah.

In addition to the registration fee, a minimum of £150 must be fundraised by each participant. However, we are hoping that our enthusiastic fundraisers aim for a more pioneering individual target.

The challenge is open to brothers and sisters who are fit enough to carry out the trek. Under 18’s will require parental consent; under 16’s will require a guardian over the age of 18 to accompany them (guardians are also required to register and fundraise the minimum target). Sisters must have an accompanying mahram throughout the journey who have also registered and will fundraise.
