Snowdon for outdoor instructors
Fri 21 April 2017, 10:00 – 13:00 BST
During this workshop we will walk from Pen y Pass to Llyn Llydaw focusing on the location and meaning of protected sites, minimising erosion, environmental group management and species identification.
Contributions from Snowdonia Society, Natural Resources Wales, National Trust and Snowdonia National Park.
As well as an introduction to the role they play in caring for Snowdon, there will be lots of opportunity to pick the brains of our contrbibutors about flora and fauna, welsh place names and you may even hear some stories of the landscape.
The walk is intended for outdoor instructors who guide groups on Snowdon. This will enable a greater understanding of the management and conservation of Snowdon but also give you facts to share with your clients.
Outdoor clothing, waterproofs and suitable footwear for mountain walk are essential.
Meet at Pen y Pass car park by the information centre.
