Climb Snowdon in Stroud is a brand new challenge event which will be taking place on Saturday 31st August in the Stroud town centre. The idea is that people will walk from the old Door Youth Project, at the bottom of Gloucester St (now the amazing Fat Tonis Pizzeria), to our new location at the top of the High St. That may not sound like much, but multiply it by 40 times and you will have climbed approximately the equivalent height of Snowdon, the tallest mountain in Wales.
This will be a spectacular sight, as we are aiming to see at least 100 people taking part. Some may chose to wear fancy dress or perhaps dress as if climbing a real mountain.
Participants will be awarded a sticker each time they arrive at base camp or summit camp and when all 40 have been awarded, you are on top of Snowdon.
ENTRY IS FREE and all that we ask is that you try to raise sponsorship for The Door Youth Project. Once you have registered, you will receive an email with a link to download a sponsor form.
The summit and base camp checkpoints will open at 9.00am and close at 5.00pm. Walkers can start at any time, but remember the earlier that you start, the more chance you have of completing.
Come and join us, it will be fun and help to increase your fitness.
When & Where
The Door is Open so every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential. At The Door we believe in the potential of every person.
The Door is a Christian-based youth project, established in 1991 for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families. We pride ourselves on being a needs-led organisation, working closely with young people, parents, carers or whole families to offer the right support for them.
