Description

The Dyffryn Valley ‘I bought a mountain’ walk

Full day, low level but with some rough ground

In 1940 Thomas Firbank wrote the classic story of life on Dyffryn Farm just outside Capel Curig. Enjoy this walk through the area featured in the book and see how little it has changed to day. The journey takes you from the Pen y Gwryd back to Capel Curig along the valley side.

Meet 10.30 Siabod Café. There is some rough open ground, the wind should be behind us but we’ll still need some stout foot wear and waterproofs. You will be dropped off at Pen y Pass by a Plas y Brenin mini bus. Packed lunch and drinks needed. Could feel like a long walk for children. No dogs.
