Event Information
Description
Capel Curig to Betws y Coed ‘The Falls of the Llugwy’
A short day, low level walk
The Afon Llugwy descends to Betws y Coed rather rapidly, there are several notable waterfalls, the most famous are the Pont Cyfyng Gorge and Swallow Falls. This walk takes the river bank all the way down the hill to Betws, there is some tarmac to walk on but it is mostly on river side tracks and in the woods. This is another good walk for autumn colours. It is a quite a long walk but it is very sheltered.
Meet: Tyn y Coed 11.00 This is a good sheltered low level route and there will be a little shopping time in Betws before the mini bus brings you back to Capel Curig at 4.30 pm. Good walking shoes or boots and waterproofs will be necessary for this walk. Packed lunch and drinks needed. This would feel like a long walk for young children. No Dogs. Under 16's only if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
