Event description
Join Britny Virginia as she celebrates her brand new poetry book titled, 'So, I'll Stay, Sitting with You'!

About this Event

Britny Virginia is a South London based poet and freelance writer. She was born in St. Lucia, raised in the United States, and migrated to England nearly 10 years ago. Her writing is greatly influenced by these three cultures, namely her St. Lucian heritage. Britny was born with a type of Cerebral Palsy called Spastic Diplegia. This affects her motor functions through the tightness of her muscles. Her writing often addresses the ups and downs of living with a disability and how she finds strength through her relationship with God

She has a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Essex and is excited to share her talent with the world. She hopes to bring change one story at a time.

So, I'll Stay, Sitting with You explores the journey of discovering that in my loneliest of moments I was never really alone because Jesus sat with me through it all. It chronicles how He, through earnest love, became a mess in my place so I would be made whole and sit with Him all of my days into eternity. It's about finding opportunities to praise and seek His face in the face of adversity, anxiety and self-doubt.

Come along with me as we sip tea and delve into the meaning of these poems through topics and Q&A's.

Also, don't forget to get your copy of the book! First 30 copies sold will be signed!
