Description

SO YOU WANT TO WIN AN AWARD? Meet some of 2017’s winners and learn how they did it.

IBP is launching the 2018 Construction and Property Communication and PR Awards at the CIPR headquarters, 52 - 53 Russell Square, WC1B 4HP at 6.30pm on Monday 5 February 2018 (with networking from 6pm).

The Awards - part-sponsored by the CIPR's Construction and Property Special Interest Group (CAPSIG) - are in their sixth year and showcase and provide recognition to in-house PR departments, public relations consultants and freelance PR practitioners working in architecture, construction and design, together with residential and commercial property.

A panel of 2017's winners will share with us their tips for preparing a winning award entry, the highs and the lows of the process and, along with an award judge, respond to a range of Q&A's to help you prepare your entry. The entry timeline, with key dates, will also be announced. (And if you're preparing an IBP entry, why not also consider the CIPR Excellence Awards and/or your local regional/national CIPR PRide Awards? Both have categories for construction and property.)

2017 IBP award winners included: Colliers International (In-house Communications Team, winner), London Communications Agency (Best PR Consultancy Team, winning in two consecutive years and highly commended this year) and Goodfellow Communications (Best PR Consultancy Team 2017).

The session will be structured to address such issues as: how did the winners choose the work to enter and prepare for their entry? How did their online entry compare to the presentation to the 'interview' panel and did their focus change during the build-up to the final interview? What benefits have winners accrued from entering and winning an award?

The evening will allow plenty of time for you to ask questions of any of the speakers. The Q&A session with be followed by drinks and networking.

(And if you enter the IBP awards in 2018, your entry fee will be discounted to cover the cost of attending this event. Just let IBP know when you enter.)
